Job Summary: Carl Hogan GM is currently seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to join our team in Columbus, Mississippi. As an Automotive Technician, you will diagnose, maintain and repair vehicles, as well as advise customers on the proper care and maintenance of their vehicles. Compensation & Benefits: This job is a full time position offering a competitive wage of $14-$31 per hour, paid weekly, and comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, 401(k), vacation days, uniforms and paid holidays. Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain all aspects of vehicles in accordance with dealership standards
• Advise customers on proper vehicle care and maintenance
• Provide prompt and courteous service
• Operate and test vehicles to diagnose automotive problems
• Report mechanical malfunctions to supervisor
• Keep repair shop neat and orderly
• Follow company safety procedures

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an automotive technician or mechanic
• Ability to cultivate trust and build relationships with customers
• Thorough knowledge of mechanical and electrical components of vehicles
• Ability to read and interpret diagnostic test results
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot malfunctions
• Familiarity with standard industry practices and procedures
• Attention to detail
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to effectively communicate
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Valid driver’s license
