Description

Peraton is seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst. This position develops and executes test cases, identifying and reporting defects, and ensuring software meets quality standards. Key responsibilities include writing test plans, documenting bugs with clear steps for reproduction, and collaborating with developers and other teams to verify fixes. This position requires a high attention to detail, strong communication skills, and often involves learning and using testing tools and methodologies like Agile/Scrum.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform various tests, including functional, regression, and integration, to identify defects.
\n
• Document bugs found during testing in a bug-tracking system (e.g., Jira) and provide clear steps to reproduce them.
\n
• Write, maintain, and update test cases and test scripts.
\n
• Work closely with developers, product managers, and other team members to understand requirements and verify bug fixes.
\n
• Contribute to creating test plans, test cases, and other software documentation.
\n
• Assist in identifying opportunities to enhance the QA process and potentially automate testing.
\n

Qualifications

\n
• 2 years with BS/BA; 0 years with MS/MA; 6 years with HS diploma
\n
• Must be a US Citizen
\n
• Experience in quality assurance job roles
\n
• Ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance
\n
• Primary work locations in Tacoma, WA, Aurora, CO, San Antonio, TX, and Falls Church, VA. Remote work may be considered in special cases when approved by the customer.
\n
• A meticulous approach is crucial for catching defects.
\n
• Needed to understand complex systems and identify issues.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication is essential for reporting bugs and collaborating with teams.
\n
• Experience with defect tracking systems like Jira is often required. Basic knowledge of testing tools like Selenium or Postman is a plus.
\n
• Experience with Agile and Scrum required
\n

Desired Skills:

\n
• Experience working within Military Health environments is a plus
\n
• BA/BS (4 year) degree in and IT or math related field/ or equivalent years of experience (preferred)
\n

Target Salary Range

$39,000 - $62,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
